Here we take on the KTM RC 200. It gets the perfect Moto GP looks with it roaring engine sound. It can easily be the best-looking sports bike under Rs 2 Lakhs. The superbike is priced at Rs 1.72 Lakhs (ex-showroom). For some, the price may be high compared to the other 200cc bikes, but its KTM for good.
The Worldn markets are filled with naked street bikes but have fewer sports bike. If you go higher, the number of sports bike increases, but we are considering the ideal budget of Rs 1.5 Lakhs to Rs 2 Lakhs. In that budget, there are very few. Amongst them, is one mean bike by the name of KTM RC 200. It takes heavy design cues from the elder siblings racing in the Moto GP. Main design highlights of the bike include racing tyres, split seat, spiral cradle design and the beak-shaped cowl with a windscreen. The bike sports a 199cc liquid cooled Fuel Injected engine. This engine produces the roaring ‘KTM Special sound’, for which the youth is crazy. The bike costs a bit high at around Rs 1.72 Lakhs (ex-showroom), but it surely is worth the money. Check out the specs, features and competition of this superbike.

Like we said, the RC 200 gets cosmetic updates from the previous generation. The bodywork looks a lot fresh and we like the way the design has evolved. The bike gets the two brilliant colour schemes, too. Bits like mirrors, footpegs, indicators are new. So is the exhaust system. It may be noted that while the KTM RC 390 receives a side-mounted exhaust, the RC200 continues with an underbelly unit. KTM RC 200 World Competition
In the world of superbikes, every bike has its own fan following, who would not think of buying any other bike. Like that, KTM also has its sweet loyalists who make regular customizations and additions of accessories to the bike. In a broader concept, it competes with Pulsar RS 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF, Honda CBR 150R/250R and Yamaha R15. However, none of the sports bikes has the same engine specs. The Pulsar, Gixxer, 150R and R15 are priced way too less. They compete because of the same type of bodywork. It can also compete with a more powerful TVS Apache RR310, which is priced around Rs 30,000 more than the RC 200.
