Hyundai launched the Elite i20 facelift at the 2018 Auto Expo. The new i20 received a number of visual as well as hardware upgrades. On the outside, the new i20 features cascading front grille, reshaped bumpers, bigger tail lights with new graphics, redesigned tailgate and repositioned license plate. Apart from these, Hyundai introduced two new attractive colours on the i20, namely, Passion Orange and Fiery Red. On the inside, the new i20 features new rear armrest with cupholders, upgraded infotainment system with fewer buttons and more functions like Auto Link mobile app for monitoring various vehicle functions and health.
Under the hood of the 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 is the 1.2-litre petrol engine which comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 1.4-litre diesel engine is now offered with a 6-speed gearbox. Several reports suggested that the 1.2-litre petrol engine might be offered with a CVT but sadly that didn’t happen.
