MINI Shadow Edition launched in India, priced at Rs 49 lakh
MINI has launched the limited edition MINI Shadow Edition in India at Rs 49 lakh and the car can be booked via the brand's India website. Interested buyers would have to hurry though as only 24 units of this car will produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai.
MINI Shadow Edition: Exterior
The MINI Shadow Edition is inspired by the MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW. The MINI Shadow Edition has an all-black body with a melting silver roof and mirror caps, giving it the appearance of a midnight-black sky with a silver lining. The Piano Black paint, paired with double matt on the exterior decals and subtle features, adds to the model's distinctiveness. It is outfitted with 18-inch grip spoke alloy wheels and the John Cooper Works aerodynamics package.
MINI Shadow Edition: Powertrain
The Shadow Edition is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, producing a maximum output of 178PS at 5,000 - 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 280Nm at 1,350 - 4,600 rpm. At 225 kmph, the vehicle can sprint to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds.
There's a 7-speed automatic transmission on board as well as MINI driving modes like Sport and Green.
MINI Shadow Edition: Interior and Features
The interior concept is contrasted with Shaded Silver and Leather Chester Malt Brown upholstery. Colour lines along the door panels, armrest surfaces, and knee pads beneath the dashboard complement the upholstery colours. The MINI Excitement Pack includes LED interior and ambient lighting, as well as a projection of the MINI emblem from the driver's side external mirror upon opening and shutting the car door.
Premium amenities include a Harman Kardon Hi-Fi sound system, a Panorama glass sunroof, a navigation system with a touch controller, and Bluetooth connectivity. The MINI Shadow Edition may be parked up to enjoy a view with the innovative Picnic Bench, which folds out of the baggage area to give seats for two.
3-Point Seat Belts, front and passenger airbags, Brake Assist, Crash Sensor, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control, Emergency Spare Wheel, and Run-flat indication are standard safety features.
