2021 Triumph Street Twin gets updates along with a limited edition offering
British motorcycle icon Triumph Motorcycles has updated its entire line up of modern classics. Here's what has changed in their popular offerings, the T100 and the T120. Triumph has also tweaked the Street Twin by making it EuroV compliant along with minor aesthetic updates. Additionally, the motorcycle manufacturer has introduced a limited edition offering based on the Street Twin that will be available in the international market, confirmed Triumph. This lets us believe that Triumph India could be bringing it here as well.
Powering the 2021 Triumph Street Twin is the same 900cc high torque engine, which in its latest EuroV guise has retained the power and torque numbers. This unit makes 65PS of peak power at 7,500 rpm and generates a torque of 80Nm at 3,800rpm. Triumph will also be retailing A2 license kit for the European markets, which can be reversed at the Triumph dealer on the completion of the tests. In terms of aesthetics, the 2021 Street Twin features new cast wheels, a new more comfortable bench seat, new bodywork and improved finish and detailing, with brushed aluminium headlamp brackets.
Also new are the updated side panels that feature integrated mesh detail. Triumph has also updated the seat with 10mm thicker padding that features a new foam mixture. That paired with a low seat height of 765mm should be accessible for riders of all heights and sizes. The motorcycle comes with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. There are 120 personalization options catering to protection, comfort, style, capability and security. The 2021 Street Twin will be available in Cobalt Blue, Matt Ironstone and Jet Black.
However, if you want your Street Twin to be distinct, there's the limited edition Street Twin Gold Line which features hand-painted gold lining. There will be only 1,000 of these worldwide that will come with a certificate of authenticity personalised with the unique VIN number of the bike, confirmed Triumph. It will be offered only in the Matt Sapphire Black paint scheme. The pinstriping will also be seen on the wheels.
