2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift launched; prices start at Rs 14.74 lakh
Tata Motors has introduced the 2023 Nexon EV facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 14.74 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The updated electric SUV now comes in three variants: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered across two battery pack options: Mid range and Long range. It is available in a choice of seven colour options: namely Intensi-teal, Creative Ocean, Pristine White, Fearless Purple, Daytona Grey, Empowered Oxide, and Flame Red. Notably, customers can book their new Nexon EV facelift for a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Tata Nexon EV facelift launched: Range, Battery pack, and charging
The Nexon EV facelift features an updated powertrain, including a new-gen electric motor. In addition, Tata has also equipped the electric SUV with vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) features available with premium electric vehicles (EVs), such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, among others. These features cannot only charge a variety of electronic appliances, gadgets, and tools, but can also charge another EV.
More to the point, the Mid range (MR) and Long range (LR) versions offer an increased range of 325km and 465km, respectively, compared to the previous 312km and 453km of the Prime and Max. The new electric motor paired with a 30.2kWh battery pack generates 129PS, while the power output is rated at 145PS with the larger 40.5kWh unit. However, the torque output of 215Nm remains identical, irrespective of the battery pack. Meanwhile, the EV can be charged with either a 7.2kW AC Type-2 or a 50kW DC CCS2 charging.
Tata Nexon EV facelift launched: New features
The electric SUV comes with numerous features, such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, "Hey Tata" voice assistant support along with integrated Siri, Alexa, and Google assistants, OTT apps compatibility, including Disney Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video; paddle shifters, a nine-speaker JBL sound system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, 360deg camera, updated ZConnect app, front parking sensors, height-adjustable co-passenger seat, new telematics, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind spot view monitor, and 45W USB Type-C ports, among others.
