Audi S5 Platinum Edition launched in India, priced at Rs 81.57 lakh

Audi has released the S5 Sportback Platinum Edition for Rs 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in anticipation of the impending festive season. The limited-edition version of the performance sedan is available in two colours: District Green and Mythos Black. The Platinum Edition Audi S5 Sportback costs Rs 5.83 lakh more than a standard S5 Sportback.

Audi S5 Platinum Edition: Exterior and Interior

The S5 Platinum Edition gets Matrix LED headlights with laser light technology, a black style kit with black trim on the front grille and window line, red brake callipers with the 'S' inscription, and LED sills with the 'S' logo projected on the ground for an extra fee.

The S5 Sportback Platinum Edition has Audi's Sports Seats Plus with a massaging function, Magma Red Nappa leather upholstery, and carbon-fibre trim elements on the inside. Aside from these modifications, the S5 Sportback stays untouched. A 10.1-inch touchscreen with Audi's MMI infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 3-zone auto temperature control, a panoramic sunroof, stainless steel pedals, and a 'S' sports suspension with damper adjustment are among the features.

Audi S5 Platinum Edition: Powertrain

The Audi S5 Platinum Edition has received no mechanical updates. It retains its 3-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which produces 354PS and 500Nm. An eight-speed automatic gearbox transmits power to all four wheels. The S5 can go from 0 to 100kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph (restricted).

Audi S5 Platinum Edition: Rivals

In India, the Audi S5 Sportback currently has only one direct competitor: the BMW M340i, which costs Rs 71.50 lakh, while the standard Audi S5 is priced at Rs 75.54 lakh.
