'Changemakers of Tomorrow' event held in Bangalore by Shell India
Shell India inaugurated 'Changemakers of Tomorrow', a mega event aimed at fostering collaboration among the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and academic experts. The three-day event at Bangalore's Shell Technology Centre included inventions from STEM students, businesses, and engineering enthusiasts. Workshops, seminars, and lectures on technological breakthroughs provided an immersive experience for attendees, encouraging information sharing, idea exchange, and connection building.
The program comprised many marquee projects targeted at hastening India's transition to a more sustainable, energy-rich, and low-carbon future, including the Shell Eco-marathon World Championship 2023, NXplorers, Shell.ai Hackathon, and Shell E4. 'Changemakers of Tomorrow' also launched new platforms to foster cooperation and creativity among tomorrow's leaders, such as DiscoverSTEM, Women in Technology, and the Start-up Conclave.
The Minister for Science & Technology, Minor Irrigation, Government of Karnataka N.S. Boseraju and Minister for Revenue, Government of Karnataka Krishna Byre Gowda set this event rolling.
Mansi Madan Tripathy, Chairman, Shell Group of Companies in India, said, "This program signifies Shell's commitment to driving positive change in the energy sector and empowering the next generation of energy innovators. By shaping a cleaner, more accessible energy landscape, we demonstrate our dedication to co-create a sustainable future. I am confident that this three-day event will spark transformative ideas and inspire lasting impact."
India recognizes that energy is at the heart of its success in pursuit of its objective of sustainable growth. While the country faces a critical and complex problem due to its vulnerability to climate change, it also faces a substantial energy trilemma, which includes maintaining a dependable clean energy supply, fair energy access, and environmental protection. 'Changemakers of Tomorrow' aimed to start a conversation on how to solve this trilemma by bringing together the efforts of the government, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and young innovators.
