World’s largest automaker, Hero MotoCorp has just launched the new Hero Super Splendor 2018 model with iSmart technology. The new version of the company’s popular 125cc commuter features a new design, fresh graphics amongst other changes. It may be noted here that the commuter segment has been the most profitable section of the market for Hero MotoCorp so far. Hence, for now, the company is focussed on coming up with new commuter bikes rather than launching premium motorcycles. It has even come to light that the company has decided to drop all plans of launching the Hero HX250R.
While the earlier Super Splendor had an ex-showroom price of Rs 56,215, the new 2018 model will definitely cost more. Prices are yet to be announced but the updated styling, along with new features like the i3S, should justify the price premium. The new 2018 model of the Super Splendor will lock its horns with the Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Discover 125, Bajaj V12 and Yamaha Saluto.
