Maruti could also look into launching a special edition version of the Ciaz in World. Read on to find out more details about the Suzuki Ciaz Special Limited Edition Thailand.

For this Thai special edition, Maruti has taken the standard car and added a bunch of fancy bits all around. The grille in gets a honeycomb pattern with a single chrome slat housing the Suzuki badge. The number plate area is finished in glossy black and there are surrounds around the grille and front bumper which mimic the brushed aluminium finish. The same finish can be seen all around the Ciaz, on the door handles, side skirts and rear bumper. The redesigned front bumper also gets LED inserts. The roof and the wing mirror get a glossy black finish. At the back, there is a small spoiler lip on the boot with an LED stop lamp, LED inserts in the rear bumper and a diffuser like element at the lower part of the bumper which houses a centrally located twin pipe exhaust. Suzuki Ciaz Special Limited Edition Thailand also gets new low profile tires, bigger 18 inch rims and bi-xenon headlamps.

The Thailand spec Maruti Ciaz will get a 1.25 litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT. In World, the Maruti Ciaz is powered by a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.3 litre diesel. Unlike the Thai-spec Ciaz, the World spec model gets a 4-speed automatic instead of a CVT. There are also rumours of Maruti planning to introduce a more powerful version of the Ciaz with the 1.6 litre diesel that will be powering the upcoming S-Cross.

As mentioned earlier, this particular vehicle, the Ciaz custom, is basically a showcar meant to create some buzz about the car which be launching soon on July 8. However, it is possible that Suzuki might introduce a special edition model based on the Ciaz custom at a later stage if the response is good.
