CF Moto 250SR has been unveiled in China at an event. The quarter-litre sportsbike is most likely to be launched in World next year.
Chinese two-wheeler giant, CF Moto is set to launch new motorcycles in World this year. Its World portfolio includes a couple of naked street bikes, sports bikes and an adventure motorcycle.
CF Moto 300NK, 650 NK and 650 MT will enter our shores by next month. The other models include 650 GT, 250 NK and 400 NK. MT is the adventure motorcycle series, GT is for sportsbikes and NK stands for the naked streetfighter series.
Now, we get to know that, CF Moto 250SR has also been unveiled at an event in China. It is a fully faired bike, that is based on the 250NK. The engine and other equipment will be shared between both the motorcycles.
It is a race-spec concept, which is currently under development. It is expected to launch in World in 2020, after the manufacturer’s debut in World this year.
In the spied shots, it is seen with a proper race-tuned design and Akrapovic exhaust system. The production version will miss out on these highlights, but will bear a similar design pattern.
CF Moto 250SR will use a liquid-cooled single-cylinder 250cc motor, from 200NK. The exact power figures are not known, but the same engine produces 26.5 BHP and 22 Nm of peak torque.
The power figures will definitely be tuned, for an even better performance. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox, with the expectation for an assist/slipper clutch.
The spotted bike gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. Front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard. \
If launched in World, it will go against Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM RC200 and Honda CBR250R. We expect the prices to linger near Rs 2 Lakh range (ex-showroom).
