2018 Hyundai Santro is set to arrive in World this year. It will take on the likes of next-generation Maruti Wagon R, Tata Tiago and the Renault KWID. It will feature only a petrol variant with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder unit. Prices will fall in the range of INR 3.5 lakh to INR 5.5 lakh. 

Come festive season this year and Hyundai Motors World will launch one of the most anticipated cars for the year 2018. The car in question is, of course, the next-generation iteration of the Santro hatchback. Spotted several times in camouflage, the 2018 Hyundai Santro is expected to come with a completely different personality as compared to its previous generation model. 2018 Hyundai Santro Launch Date

Hyundai has already commenced testing this hatchback on Worldn roads. We were expecting to see its first public debut in World during the 2018 Auto Expo. However, that did not happen. Now we expect Hyundai to launch the next-generation of this vehicle in World sometime during the latter half of 2018.

This new compact hatchback will replace the i10 hatchback in Hyundai model line-up in World. Hence, it will find its place in-between the Eon and the Grand i10. Consequently, expect the prices to fall in the range of INR 3.5 Lakh to INR 6 Lakh.

2018 Hyundai Santro Engine Specifications

The next-generation Hyundai’s small car will get a petrol engine in its line-up. This is going to be the same 1.0-litre motor that the current spec i10 uses. This motor produces 68 BHP of power along with 99 Nm of peak torque. The 2018 Santro is going to get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Hyundai might also introduce an automatic variant as well.
