Indonesia-spec Yamaha MT-15 accessories revealed; might come here too

The accessory list of Indonesia-spec Yamaha MT-15 has been revealed. We expect the same list to be available with the World-spec version.

Yamaha Indonesia has revealed the complete accessories list that comes with the MT-15. It includes a couple of mechanical as well as visual upgrading accessories. The Streetfighter is all set to be launched on 15th March.

We expect the same list to be carried over in the World-spec version too. These authorized components can be fitted at dealerships after purchasing the bike.

The list of accessories include tank pads, fuel cap pads, lever sets, brake cap reservoirs and end grips are meant for visual upgrades. The buyers will be provided with variety of themes and colours amongst these visual changes.

The Yamaha MT-15 is also offered with an aftermarket exhaust, skid plate, radiator cover and lighter fenders. For a better suspension setup, Yamaha is also offering a different suspension setup onboard.

Yamaha is offering Ohlins Rear Shock absorber as an accessory. In a regular state, it will use aluminium swingarm with a rear monohshock at the back. We expect this particular accessory would not come in the World-spec.

The prices of the accessories have been revealed in Indonesia. If we convert it into Rupees, the range starts from Rs 560 going up to Rs 3180 for the Gold and Silver levers.

Meanwhile, the official bookings of the MT-15 have commenced across all dealerships. The bikes have started reaching dealership stockyards for test ride and display purposes.

The booking amounts range between Rs 1000 to Rs 5000, depending upon the dealerships. Some dealerships are booking the bikes just with the buyer’s name, without any token.

Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, that is capable of delivering 19.1 BHP and 14.8 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

As said, we expect the prices to be between Rs 1.2 Lakhs to Rs 1.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It will primarily go against the likes of KTM Duke 125, which is the entry-level naked streetfighter from the Austrian manufacturer.
